History and literature
Studying history by using a textbook is one way to look other people and times, but it is not the only way. History and literature looks at history through fiction. Basically an independent reading class, History and literature allows students to choose American novels that view history through "story". Each student keeps a journal as he or she reads. This is shared with the teacher so that there is an on-going written converstaion between the instructor and each student. |
