The course deals with human function and issues, then on to other life less complex. Both kingdoms will be studied (plants and animals) and each broken down into smaller catergories such as vertebrates and invertebrates or vascular and nonvascular plants. The first semester is more animal oriented, while the 2nd semester is mostly plants.
