8th Project Business
Students will study about personal economics. They will learn how to balance a checkbook. The importance of saving and investing will be stressed. Using credit and paying and receiving interest will also be explored.

How economics works in our country and world will be studied too. Our role and the government's role in the big economic picture will be explained

Finally they will do some job hunting skills. We will talk about the steps in getting a job. They will know where to look, how to fill out a job application, and do a job interview.

7th Careers
Students will discover what interests them and transfer those interests into a career they would enjoy. We will explore a variety of careers and find the skills and education needed to do those careers.

We will also talk about the people skills we need to be successful in the workplace. Attitude, anger management and teamwork are just a few of the people skills we will cover.

7th Life Science
In Life Science we will start with the simpliest form of life, the cell, and study plants and animals from the simpliest to the most complex. We will finish our year exploring the human body and all of its systems.

The class will consist of textbook reading, class discussions, projects, labs, demonstrations, daily assignments, quizzes and tests.

8th Earth Science
Earth science will study the earth, its interior, its surface, its atmosphere and our solar system. We will discover what causes earthquakes, volcanoes, tornadoes, hurricanes, and many of the other amazing phenomena involved with our planet and solar system.

The class will have a textbook we follow and will include labs, demonstrations, projects, and class discussions. There will be daily assignments, quizzes and tests.
