Señora Hunt's Profile Hola. Bienvenidos (welcome) to my web page. My name is Señora Lynita Hunt. I teach Exploratory Spanish and Spanish I, II, III, and IV.
This is my third year at WACO High School and my 15th year of teaching. I graduated from Mt. Pleasant Community High School and earned my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Iowa Wesleyan College. I taught pre-school in Lancaster, Pennsylvania for six years and then moved back to the Mt. Pleasant area where I taught Spanish and various other subjects at Mt. Pleasant Christian School. I obtained my Spanish endorsement from Iowa Wesleyan College as well as the University of San Jose in Costa Rica. I enjoy teaching high school students and helping them learn a new language. I believe that knowing a second language broadens horizons, not only in communication, but also in future occupations, learning other cultures and going beyond your comfort zone.
A highlight of my teaching experience happened this past summer when two other teachers and I took 19 students to Europe to explore and learn about other cultures hands-on. It will be a memorable experience and a learning tool that will be talked about in the classroom for years to come.
