WACO Community Schools is located in southeast Iowa, approximately 40 miles south of Iowa City. The towns of Wayland, Crawfordsville, Olds, Swedesburg, Coppock, Noble, and the surrounding rural areas make up the district. WACO has two attendance centers. A newly remodeled elementary building in Crawfordsville houses Pre-K through Grade 6. The secondary building in Wayland is for Grades 7 through 12.
Situated along the Avenue of the Saints corridor and near US Highway 34, WACO offers easy access to entertainment and recreation opportunities including parks, lakes, rivers, sports attractions, and cultural events.
